Wellness Workshop: an Introduction

You may look in the mirror every day of your life and never really see yourself.

You can’t be expected to know exactly who you’re looking at when you’ve never been told what you’re looking for.

Regardless, not knowing creates blind spots that have consequences and can leave you feeling as though your features are deficient in some way—that changing them would change your life.

But your features are the solution, not the problem, and each one of them contributes something meaningful to your overall persona.

Everything in your face and body are visually interconnected and repeated.

In other words, all of the lines, curves, shapes, softness, angularity, spacial relationships, positions, angles, colors, contrasts, textures, etc that make up your features are related, and they repeat themselves throughout your face and body. Their repetition creates a visual pattern that forms your baseline, and it’s the visual context in which everything about you is perceived.

Humans are wired to believe that ‘How we look is how we are.’

Therefore, every feature in your baseline has an inherent behavioral or lifestyle association that impacts others’ perceptions about your capabilities, utility, self-control, discipline, agency, status, values, intentions, trustworthiness, well-being, stability, resilience, and even outlook on life. They, too, are interconnected and repeated. Their manifestation creates a highly nuanced depth that’s inseparable from the visual context of your baseline.

Think of your baseline as what others see and your persona as what others feel around you. Together they subconsciously influence every social interaction and relationship you have—including the one you have with yourself.

The real you has been hiding in plain sight all this time. Don’t you want to meet her?
